What is a provider?

A provider is an individual or organisation delivering a support or a product to a participant of the NDIS. Registered providers have met requirements regarding qualifications, approvals, experience and capacity for the approved supports.

What types of support does NDIS funding cover?

In general, the NDIS will fund reasonable and necessary supports that help a person living with a disability enjoy an ordinary life.

Some supports are funded by other areas of government (e.g. state health systems) or existing public/community services.

Get in touch with the NDIS to find more information per your specific circumstances.

What types of medical conditions are not covered by NDIS funding?

The NDIS will not provide funding or support for time-limited (non-ongoing) conditions.

For example, reduced mobility due to an acute injury such as a lower limb fracture will not meet the NDIS disability requirement, as the condition is likely to resolve.

Where can I find more information about the NDIS?

You can check the NDIS websitewww.ndis.gov.au for more information.
